Hotel Dynamics Group
Hotel Dynamics Group was where telephone selling stopped being just instinct for me and became a system: qualification, scripts, objection handling, closing discipline, memberships and repeatable performance.
External references are provided for chronology and context. They do not imply endorsement, employment verification or a commercial relationship beyond what the chapter itself describes.
The foundation for everything that came later.
I sold hotel membership and loyalty programmes connected with major hospitality brands including Hilton ↗, Millennium Hotels & Resorts ↗, Copthorne ↗ and Kingsgate ↗. The work was highly structured and conversion-focused.
This is where I learned to break a call into stages, understand where prospects were dropping away, sharpen the offer, handle objections deliberately and turn individual sales ability into something that could be taught and repeated.
The lessons from Hotel Dynamics Group later fed directly into the way I approached telecommunications at TelstraClear and appointment setting and team performance at HRV.
Not just “be good on the phone”.
The important shift was learning that a strong result could be decomposed. What was the opening? What made the offer relevant? What objection was actually being raised? What wording created trust? Where exactly was the close?
That mindset became one of the strongest recurring systems in my later career.
